Louis Roederer Cristal
A truly succulent and powerful champagne made only in the best years from the finest fruit and top vineyards sites. The impressive palate shows lush, ripe peachy fruit, a rich toastiness and a silky texture with a fine mousse.
This elegant champagne is a fantastic food wine, matching lobster, crayfish and scallops to perfection.
This Champagne was first created in 1876 for Tsar Alexander II. It is only made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes grown on Louis Roederer’s own vineyards.
Sparkling wines and Champagne should always be stored in a cool and dry place away from light and heat sources. The ideal temperature for storage is 13-15 degrees C.
Warning: Sparkling wines contain high natural pressure. Do not allow bottles to get warm. Chill bottle before opening and avoid shaking. Point bottle away from others and yourself when removing wire, hood and cork. Hold the cork firmly and twist out slowly by hand. Never under any circumstances use a corkscrew to open.

Founded in 1776, and property of the same family since 1819, Champagne Louis Roederer is today one of the last major champagne houses to be an independent family affair. Cristal was originally produced exclusively for the Tsar of Russia.
A continental, sunny year with a real winter that was very cold and dry followed by a glorious sun-filled summer and almost no rain in August and September. All this meant traditional vine growth, excellent health and remarkable grape ripeness for the production of dense, fruity and delicious wines. 2009 is an obvious addition to the select group of brilliant and accomplished Champagne vintages with a light, sunny character.
The wine is aged for six years in the cellars and left for a minimum of eight months after disgorging to attain the perfect maturity. Cristal is a blend of Grand Crus from the Montagne de Reims, the Marne Valley and the Côte des Blancs.
